What is Talanoa Ako?

Talanoa Ako is a community initiative designed to foster open dialogue between parents and educators about your child’s educational pathway. These workshops are culturally inclusive, interactive, and tailored to provide practical advice for parents navigating the New Zealand education system.

  • Understand NCEA: Gain insights into how the NCEA system works, its structure, and how it impacts your child’s future opportunities.
  • Support Your Child: Learn how to support and encourage your child throughout their academic journey.
  • Plan for the Future: Discuss strategies to prepare your child for tertiary education, vocational training, or the workforce.

Location: Rotorua Methodist Church & Bainbridge Centre 187 Old Taupo Road, Utuhina | Rotorua 3015 ⛪

I give permission for the Ministry of Education to share mine and my children's information with other Ministry staff that are responsible for work that may contribute to raising Pacific achievement.
I give permission to being photographed, filmed, videoed or have my image recorded, and that the Ministry of Education may use such imagery on their website and in their publications. I understand I am entitled to request access to such images and to take copies of them at my own cost.
